Settings

Open Settings from the user menu. Preferences are organised into a few tabs.

Appearance

• Theme — System, Light or Dark. The two themes are designed as the same instrument under different light, so every chart and colour adapts.

• Charts — line style for every equity and drawdown curve (workspace, strategy detail, and analysis modules): Step (stepped) or Smooth (smooth curve). The choice applies everywhere at once.

• Up and down colours — the two colours every chart uses for gains and losses: Rewind candles, P&L bars and histograms, heatmap cells, payoff profit and loss zones, drawdown and loss areas.

  • Monochrome (default) draws gains in strong ink (near-black in the light theme, near-white in the dark one) and losses in grey. It relies on lightness alone, so it reads the same for everyone, including the common forms of colour blindness (deuteranopia and protanopia), where green and red look almost the same.
  • Indigo / Ember is the colour option that stays readable for colour-blind eyes. The indigo is kept clear of the cyan used for strikes and cursors.
  • Green / Red brings back the classic pair.
  • Custom lets you type a hex colour for up and down, separately for the light and the dark theme, with a candle preview of each. A warning appears when a colour is too faint on its background (below 3:1) or when the two colours become hard to tell apart for colour-blind eyes. These are warnings only: the colours still apply.

  The Monthly P/L table and heatmap are not affected: they always keep green and red.

• Hollow up candles (on by default) — in Rewind, a rising candle is drawn as an outline and a falling one filled, so the shape gives the direction even without colour. Below about 3 pixels of width an outline can't be read, so very narrow candles stay filled.

  P&L figures written as text (▲/▼ values in tables, KPI and trade logs) keep their green and red: the sign and the number already carry the meaning there. The choice is saved to your account and follows you across devices.

Formats

• Default currency — the currency new analyses are read in, chosen from the ~30 currencies with an ECB reference rate. It is a default, not a global switch: a session already open keeps its own currency (change it from the workspace status bar), and a saved portfolio reopens in the currency it was saved in. Amounts are genuinely converted at current rates — see Currencies & FX.
• Number format — e.g. 1,234.56 vs 1.234,56.
• Date format — day/month/year, month/day/year or ISO, with a live preview. It governs the date fields too (custom period, Equity Control range, backtest period): each one displays and accepts dates in the format chosen here, and its calendar only offers the days the module allows. Date fields are edited one segment at a time, like the browser's own: day, month and year are three boxes inside a single field. Click (or double-click) a segment and it highlights whole, so you can rewrite just the month without retyping the date. Typing takes digits only — separators appear on their own, a full segment hands over to the next one, and impossible entries never form (month 13 becomes 12, 31 in February becomes the last day of the month). ←/→ move between segments, ↑/↓ step the active one, Backspace empties it. Pasting a whole date still works, ISO included. Dates outside the module's range are pulled back to the nearest allowed day when you leave the field.

Defaults

Set the starting point for every new session:

• Initial capital — the default capital.
• Import — Auto-split multi-strategy CSVs: when on, files containing several strategies (e.g. an Option Omega portfolio) are split into distinct strategies automatically instead of asking. Off by default. See Splitting a file.
• Monte Carlo — default model, number of simulations and horizon.

Rewind

• Pause at each entry — in Rewind, playback stops when a strategy enters, or its entry is skipped, and tells you what happened; press play to carry on. On by default. The same switch sits in Rewind's own settings (⚙).

Account

• Your profile (display name, email).
• Linked providers — link or unlink Google (at least one sign-in method must remain).
• Delete account — permanent removal of your identity and data. It needs a sign-in from the last ten minutes: email accounts confirm the password in the dialog, Google accounts sign out and back in first.

Shared spaces

Create a space, invite people by email, change roles, transfer ownership, leave or delete. The same panel holds the space trash (objects deleted in the space, restorable) and the activity feed (saves, restores, joins, role changes). See Shared spaces.

Data

• CSV separator preference.
• Storage: how much space your library uses out of your plan's limit (500 MB during the launch window). It counts saved portfolios, strategies, variants and trade CSVs; drafts and preferences don't count. Past the limit, saving returns an error until you delete something; opening, editing and deleting keep working. A shared space has its own storage, with the limit of the owner's plan.
• Delete in bulk: all variants, all saved portfolios, all saved strategies, or end every open session.
• Export everything as a single archive (see Exporting).
